CAUSEWAY United face the prospect of an early start next week when they embark on their biggest game of the season.

The Halesowen-based side travel to FA Vase holders Spennymoor, who are situated just south of Newcastle.

Causeway spokesman Mac Powell claimed: “We had to travel to Whitley Bay last season, which is the other side of Newcastle. “We did approach the FA to ask for help in claiming some expenses for an overnight stay, but they refused claiming we were right on the borderline.

“So we’re definitely not going to get anything for Spennymoor.

“Consequently, we will be travelling up there on the day!

Causeway will be forced to reshuffle their ranks as they have both Will Tibbetts and Chris Gleado cup-tied having featured for Bromsgrove Sporting earlier in the competition, while Carl Gardiner is suspended.
