CRADLEY Town have captured 19-year-old midfield player Dominic Oliver from Redditch United.
The attacking midfield player was on Aston Villa’s books as a youngster and Cradley boss Nigel Birch said: “He got released from Villa at 15 because it was believed he was too small, but he’s a very good footballer.
“Dom’s had a spell with Boldmere St Michaels and just needs to get a few matches under his belt. I’m looking to pair him with Scott Devlin in midfield.
“We’ve got Dom for a few months, I’m not quite sure how long, but he’ll still be expected to train with Redditch. I watched him at Villa when I was involved with Birmingham City with a view to taking him to Blues.”
Cradley’s West Midlands League Premier Division clash with Wolves Sporting Community was washed out this week but they hope for better luck when travelling to Willenhall Town this Saturday.
