HALESOWEN Town have snapped up one time Wolves and Walsall centre midfield man Aaron Forde.

Having started his career with Wolves he then progressed to play in Walsall’s Academy but a broken leg cut short his progress.

Forde made a full recovery and was named on the bench for Walsall against Colchester United.

However, he was released by Walsall two and half years ago and linked up with Hinckley United.

He then had spells with Romulus, Stourport Swifts and Redditch United before more recently featuring for Bedworth United before making the switch to join the Yeltz.

He was due to make his debut against Market Drayton Town last Saturday before the heavens opened shortly before kick-off, forcing the game to be abandoned.

Halesowen hope for better luck this Saturday when they travel to Sheffield FC.

The Yeltz will be holding a quiz in the James Grove Lounge this Friday night starting at 8pm.

CRADLEY Town have captured former Hednesford players Luke Farmer, a striker and full back Matt Dudley, who had a recent spell at Guiseley.

Recent games against Shifnal and Willenhall Town both fell victims to the weather.

Cradley boss Nigel Birch doesn’t hold out too much hope for Saturday’s local derby at Bartley Green either.
