CAUSEWAY United couldn’t believe it when their game was called off against Alvechurch this week.
Manager Andy Mole explained: “We’d already done the warm-up and gone back into the changing rooms to get ready to start at 2-45pm and then the heavens opened up.
“It was a great shame, because I had a decent side out and I really wanted the game to take place”.
Mole had brought in striker Corey Pearce who is currently serving in the Army.
Mole confirmed: “Corey is based at Hereford and has just come back from a tour of duty. He’d previously had a few games for Cradley Town but has since decided to come to us. It was his first opportunity to play as we’re not tied up with the FA Vase anymore”.
Pearce is likely to start for Causeway when they travel to Nottingham side Dunkirk in a Midland Alliance match this Saturday before visiting Gornal Athletic on Tuesday.
