IN-FORM Halesowen Town will look to keep throwing knockout blows when they travel to Eastwood Town on Saturday in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

Eastwood currently lie just two points off the bottom of the Evo-Stik Northern League Division One South winning just two of their ten games to date. A home tie with St Neot’s Town awaits the winners.

Ben Haseley’s hat-trick, a Chris Waterhouse own goal and a 34th-minute strike from Neil MacKenzie gave Yeltz a convincing 5-0 win over Black Country rivals Tipton Town in the FA Cup and earned a third qualifying round tie away at Markse United.

It was Yeltz’ biggest win of the season in front of their biggest crowd of the season - 421 - as boss John Hill enjoyed victory over his former club now managed by Ian Rowe.

After MacKenzie and Elliott Turner missed early chances before tom Tonks hit the iside of the post.

Waterhouse looped a header past his own keeper in the 21st minute before MacKenzie doubled the lead 13 minutes later.

Then it was Haseley’s turn, his first coming on 52 minutes when he was first to a long ball to tuck a shot past Matthew Martin.

A stunning half-volley gave Haseley a second 16 minutes from time and his tenth of the season completed a second-half treble in the dying seconds.

Halesowen will play Market Drayton at home on Tuesday in the Evo-Stik Northern League, Trophy replays permitting.
