HALESOWEN Town have been looking to blood some of their youngsters as injuries start to take their toll - writes Nick Pullen
Manager John Hill brought in Shane Grainger, Danny Waldron and Matt Fulloway for the Doodson Cup defeat at Kidsgrove Athletic.
Waldron - who has been netting goals for fun with the Yeltz youth side - featured for the final 20 minutes in last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle Town.
Grainger - known to his team mates as 'Little Scholesy' - has impressed in midfield while Fulloway has been out on loan with West Midlands League side Bilston Town.
Hill has also gone in the opposite direction as well, by bringing back former Yeltz defender Asa Charlton.
Now in the twilight of his playing career, Charlton has featured most recently with Rushall Olympic, while prior to that, was assistant player-manager with Redditch United.
Charlton's return to the fold will prove popular with Yeltz supporters and he should feature against bottom side Bedworth United, who visit the Grove on Saturday.
Hill expects to rule out Chris Lait, Jean-Michel Gueyes and Neil MacKenzie with injury problems, but can welcome back Nigel Penny and Tom Tanks who have both been out with bans.
There's also a question mark over the future of defender Adam Meecham, who could find his appearences for the Yeltz restricted owing to increased work commitments.
But there's good news concerning Yeltz goal machine Ben Haseley. He has been diagnosed with no long term damage to the eye injury he received last week.
Haseley headed off on honeymoon this week, but is expected back for the following Saturday's long distance trip to Scarborough.
