Round-up
Big splash
A HOST of Stourbridge Swimming Club starlets made a real splash at the Manchester Aquatics Centre for an elite training session before joining their parents to watch the World Championships at the MEN arena at Manchester.
The swimmers arrived at the centre to find one of their lanes in use by a solitary swimmer and only on exiting the water did they find out that it was Australian swimming superstar Grant Hackett.
The swimmers shared pool time with the athletes they would later watch in the final day of the Swimming Championships.
Coach Stew Nicklin said "It was a fantastic day and a fabulous opportunity for our swimmers to be part of such an exciting and world class event.
"Our swimmers, many as young as seven are training to be the new Olympians and this opportunity to see the best in the world with many world records broken fills them with enthusiasm to train hard and achieve their goals."
