DUDLEY Sports have snapped up former Swindon Town youngster Daryl Sharman who looks set to make his debut this Saturday at home to Shifnal Town.

Striker Sharman has more recently appeared for Wiltshire-side Amesbury and Andover Town but has now moved into the Dudley area.

Sports have also recruited central defender Andrew Thompson from Sunday football.

Sorry Sports fell apart in the second half of their trip to Pegasus Juniors and suffered a 6-1 reverse.

It followed a goalless first half before Pegasus plundered four goals in the space of 20 minutes.

Joint-boss Tony Gore said: “It’s important the players learn from their mistakes. We’re a young side and we will improve.

“But once the first goal went in, it became a procession.”

n Dudley Town boss Andy Wyton had no complaints following his side’s comprehensive 4-1 defeat to Causeway United in the FA Vase.

Wyton said: “We didn’t show in the second half and got what we deserved. We didn’t perform and Causeway fully deserved to beat us.”

The game had began so promisingly for the Robins who took the lead on 13 minutes when Rion Francis-Mills turned home Adam Callinswood’s shot.

Johvan Blake-Walker levelled for Causeway before half time who then took charge after the break, goals from Wisdom Machanghani and Jack Pearlman putting them 3-1 ahead before Aaron Lloyd sealed matters from the spot.

Wyton will be eager to get the Robins back on track this week when they host Pegasus Juniors before entertaining Sporting Khalsa on Saturday at the Dell Stadium.
