DUDLEY Sports boss Tony Gore wants his players to maintain their levels of performance.

Gore has been delighted with how well his team as started the season and thinks results will become more consistent as long as they continue to play in the same manner.

Sports currently sit mid-table in the West Midlands Premier League after winning three and losing three of their first six games.

They continued their start to the campaign by beating Wellington 4-2 away on Saturday but losing 2-1 a home to Smethwick on Monday.

"Saturday's game against Wellington was as good a performance I have ever seen from a Dudley Sports side," added Gore.

"The players a a little disappointed not to be top of the table after how well they have played. That shows how far we have come as a team since last season.

"Our results need to become more consistent but our performances certainly don't.

"If we carry on playing the same way then the results will follow, especially if we can also be slightly more lethal in the final third and kill teams off when we're on top."

Against Wellington, a brace from Dean Williams and strikes from Jonathan Letford and Luke Williams gave them the win.

They lost against Smethwick after conceding two goals in the last five minutes. The late strikes cancelled out Dean Williams' fourth goal in three games.

Dudley will now take on Bewdley Town away this Saturday before welcoming rivals Dudley Town on Tuesday, September 9.
