CRADLEY Town were unlucky not to claim victory last Saturday when their game against Smethwick Rangers was abandoned with just a few minutes left on the clock with the Hammers in front.

Cradley were 3-2 up after 86 minutes when Rangers' defender Dan Bellis suffered a knee injury.

The game was halted and eventually abandoned after a 40 minute wait.

Town are now hoping the league will allow the result to stand, particularly after Chris Bladen bagged his 50th goal for the club.

Cradley will take on Bolehall Swifts away in the FA Vase this Saturday.
