TIVIDALE manager Ian Long has hailed the immediate impact of new boy Roland Agbor.

The forward arrived from Boldmere St Michaels last week and wasted no time in helping Tivi continue their fine away form with a 2-1 success against Rainworth Miners' Welfare last Saturday.

He come off the bench after a hour to score one and set up another as Tividale took all three points back to The Beeches.

Long said: "Agbor did really well when he came on. He lit up the game.

"We have been working hard to get a new forward in and it makes it all worth while when they make that kind of an impact. Hopefully he will be an important player for us."

Tivi continued their impressive away record with their fourth win on the road this season.

After an uneventful first half, Rainworth had their first effort on goal at the start of the second period when Tividale keeper Price had to touch over a dipping free kick from Theo Brown on 47 minutes.

Tividale continued to have the majority of the possession but Rainworth also had chances on the counter with Price just beating Sibenge for a through ball and kicking clear.

The game seemed to be heading for a 0-0 draw until the introduction of Agbor. He brilliantly back heeled into the bottom corner on 83 minutes after a Danny Ashton run and cross.

In the 2nd minute of injury time it was Agbor again in the midst of the action this time being the provider when his right wing cross was headed home at the back post by Leigh Downing.

Rainworth did get on the score sheet in the fifth minute of injury time when Brown made no mistake with a free kick giving Price no chance.

"Our away form this season has been great," added Long. "It is a big positive for us and means we can go into the next two games under less pressure."

Tivi were set to take on Stafford Rangers at home last night before travelling to Leek this Saturday.
