CARL Douglas says his Dudley Kingswinford players are fully prepared for their crunch clash with relegation rivals Burton.

The director of rugby at DK used last Saturday's gap in the fixture list to give his players a week away from training.

He is now hoping they will be refreshed and ready for the massive game away to Burton this Saturday.

The league's bottom two sides will go head to head knowing that defeat will make the slide to relegation almost impossible.

Douglas said: "The players are rested and ready to train this week ahead of a very big game. I felt they needed to recharge their batteries a little so they could come back and give it their all this weekend.

"It is a game we really have to win to have a realistic chance of staying up. It would be a massive uphill task should we lose.

"It is time for the players to take responsibility to perform for the whole game."

Douglas has no major injury concerns ahead of the crucial clash.
