CRICKET: TOM Kohler-Cadmore wants another crack at getting Himley back into the top flight of the Birmingham Premier League.

A last day win over Smethwick by four wickets meant a fifth place finish – a good ending after being bottom six games into the season.

But the Himley skipper says there was still a slight sense of disappointment.

“If we’d won just a couple of the 50-over games at the start of the season we could have gone up, that’s how tight it was at the top, but we seemed to have a mental block of losing games hanging over from the previous season.

“But we got our confidence once we went into the 55-over stuff and won the last four 50- over games at the end and I think next year we will have a good set of young lads who have a year’s more experience.”

Kohler-Cadmore hopes he will be at home to steer them back into the Premier Division.

“I would like to stay next season if Himley want me to carry on. It’s my home club and has been since my days in the academy,” he said.
