CRADLEY star Ashley Morris already has his eyes on victory in the showpiece F.A.S.T Golden Hammer on Tuesday, August 9.

The hugely popular individual meeting has become one of the biggest meetings on the speedway calendar – and the stage is set for another night of drama in less than a month.

A bumper line-up has been announce, with former Heathens favourites Steve Worrall, Paul Starke and Adam Roynon plus defending Champion Adam Ellis amongst those involved.

Yet home hero Morris, who has been in stunning form since his return to the club over the winter, is desperate to finally get his hands on the historic trophy after going close on a number of occasions.

Morris said: “Every year I’ve looked like I’ve had a good chance, but I always seem to ride like an idiot and mess it up!

“I’d love to have things come together this year and win it, but it’s always tough because anything can happen on the night.

“It’s a tough line-up, but I’ve been riding well and I’d like to think I can be up there and in with a chance.

“I’m not putting any pressure on myself, it’ll be an exciting meeting and I’ll just have some fun and see how it goes.”

Admission for the 20-heat meeting is priced at £15 for adults, £12 for concessions whilst kids go free.

Season Ticket Holders, both adults and concessions, will also be admitted for £5 on production of their pass.

Meanwhile, supporters will also have an opportunity to watch from the restaurant with a two-course meal available for £12.
