CRADLEY boss Will Pottinger has called upon club supporters to turn out in big numbers as they aim to keep their season alive against Birmingham at Monmore Green tonight (7.30pm).

The Heathens need to overturn a 16-point deficit in their National League play-off semi-final after losing 53-37 to the Brummies at Perry Barr last Wednesday.

While Pottinger admits it's a big ask for his side, he believes the fans on the terraces have got a huge part to play.

He said: "A 16 point defeat is a big margin to pull back but it's not impossible. "We're certainly the underdogs but if we can start the meeting well then you never know!

"The supporters have been brilliant in sticking by the team again this year and the lads in particular appreciate their backing.

"We need as many fans possible to come and get behind the boys on Monday and we need to give them plenty of encouragement right from the start of the night.

"We've got no end of season challenges planned, so lose tomorrow and that's our season done at home.

"We'd love to reach the final but it's going to take one huge group effort and the supporters are a big part of that!"

Cradley have once again booked Ben Hopwood to guest for Luke Chessell who remains sidelined through injury. The Heathens also welcome back Richard Andrews to their side at No. 2.

Meanwhile, Birmingham have booked Danny Ayres at No. 1 who is a popular character amongst the Heathens crowd.

Supporters are reminded that season tickets are valid for this fixture.
