LYE Town Ladies returned to league football in style with a scintillating 6-2 win over Knowle.
The lyeonesses found themselves with the lead in the first half before a stubborn Knowle side put up some resistance resulting in the side equalising.
However a period of impressive play saw Lye go into the break 5-1 to the good with Robyn Hingley stealing the show scoring four and Hannah Boxley the other, her second of the season, both coming against Knowle.
Top scorer Claire Williamson drew a blank although she did have two goals in each half disallowed.
Hingley wrapped up the game with another goal with Knowle’s second coming from the penalty spot after a rare attack.
Lye go back to County Cup fifth-round action this Sunday hosting Gornal at Stourbridge Road.
