YELTZ boss John Hill says this Saturday's clash with already-relegated Skelmersdale is a must-win encounter in the club's fight for survival.

The threat of the drop from the Northern Premier League increased on Tuesday night with a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Marine at the Grove.

Halesowen failed to back up a battling 1-1 draw at play-off hopefuls Spennymoor Town last weekend.

Hill said: "It is absolutely a must-win game for us now.

"We have to make sure we come out firing and ready for the challenge. You have to be beating Skelmersdale at home if you want to stay up.

"It's looking like the final relegation place will be between ourselves, Corby and Sutton."

The manager admits it was a disappointing result against Marine on Tuesday night but also revealed the pre-match disruption that hit his side.

"It was terribly disappointing because Spennymoor was a great battling performance and we really deserved our point," he added.

"We said it wouldn't mean anything unless we backed it up at home against Marine but that wasn't the case.

"I don't think it helped that we had a few issues before the game though. Lee Chilton was hit by a forklift truck at work and called to say he couldn't play and then Kyle Morrison fell down and had to go to hospital.

"On top of all that, new signing Cameron Steele, who was our goalscorer at Spennymoor, has gone to the wrong ground and missed the game.

"We were planning to field the same side and go again but that has thrown everything out."

Morrison is likely to miss this Saturday's clash with Skelmersdale (3pm kick-off) but Lee Chilton will be assess later this week.

Hill praised the impact of young attacker Steele, who has joined on loan from Burton Albion, and thinks he'll be keen to impress on his home debut for the club.

He said: "Cameron did extremely well against Spennymoor and missing the last game is something you just can't account for.

"He'll be keen to put that right this weekend if he plays."
