How they rated:

Stourbridge 2, St Ives 0

Gould: Untroubled for large spells throughout. Came and gathered a few late balls into the box but an easy afternoon for the Stour stopper. 6.5.

Christophorou: Solid afternoon from the right-back. Supported his side's attacks down the right flank well and won some important headers and challenges when on defensive duty. 7.

Westlake: Much like Christophorou on the opposite flank, he did everything required. Communicates well and was always an outlet from the back. 7.

Pierpoint: another commanding display for the skipper until his afternoon was cut short with injury. Had a good battle with St Ives sub Ogbonna, winning key challenges as well as posing a threat in the opposition box. 7.5.

Duggan: Another dominant display from the centre back. Won almost every header and caused mayhem for St Ives when going forward for set-pieces. He headed back across goal for Broadhurst's second as well. 8.5.

Forde: The midfield anchorman was in fine form and played a big part in Stour getting back on top after an even start to the second half. Great positional sense to make a host of vital interceptions and made sure his side won the midfield battle 8.5.

Dodd: The winger worked hard all game but has set high standards. Did dwell on the ball for too long at times but he did help the Glassboys stretch St Ives. Won the free kick that led to the second after another driving run down the right. 7.5.

Broadhurst: Another season rolls round and still Leon is firing in the goals for the Glassboys. Stour needed to find a way through and he provided it. Ghosted in at the far post to bag his second soon after. Goals aside, his partnership in the middle with Forde was vital to the win. 9.

Archer: Help the ball up well in the first half and was also looking to latch onto balls over the top. A slightly frustrating afternoon for him as clear cut chances dried up. Had one header saved in the second half. 7.5.

Cooke: Handed a start by Gary Hackett but didn't have the impact he'd have wanted. Put an early chance just wide but struggled to find other openings as St Ives shut down the space. Always worked hard to show for the ball though and clearly has some potential. 6.5.

Tonks: Given his first start since his return from Solihull and made some key contributions throughout. An unfamiliar role out on the left didn't hold the tenacious midfielder back. Whipped in a fine ball for Broadhurst's opener and took the free-kick that led to the second. Slotted in well to provide the extra numbers when St Ives did look to break and cleared one header off the line. 8.5.

Subs:

Hague: another lively showing from the youngster. Worked a couple of openings for himself and provided so neat touches to set up attacks. Good impact again. 7.5.

O'Callaghan: Slotted in effortlessly at the back after Pierpoint's injury and worked the keeper with a well-controlled half volley when up for a corner. 7.

Rowe: Didn't have long to get into the game but did pass up one big opening late on when firing straight at the keeper form close range. 6.

Unused subs: Green, Kiembi, Jeavons.
