How they rated:

Stourbridge v Witton Albion

Gould: The main reason Stour took a point from the game despite a disappointing team showing. Made a string of fine second half stops to keep Witton out. 8.

Christophorou: The right back couldn't get forward like he is capable of but defended well and was part of the Glassboys back line that kept an important clean sheet. 7.

Westlake: Did okay and defended well enough but had to be replaced at the break due to injury. 6.

McCone: The skipper won most of his aerial duels and was on hand to clear his lines on more than one occasion. The team couldn't get into gear going forwards but the defence held firm. 7.

Pierpoint: Like his central defensive partner McCone, the experienced campaigner had a busy afternoon as Witton kept the pressure on. He also stood up to the task and will be pleased with the shut-out. 7.

Forde: Cut a frustrated figure in the first half out on the right flank after being tasked with filling the hole left by injured winger Matt Dodd. Improved slightly as he got more involved in the second half after a switch inside. 6.

Digie: Did well with a couple of powerful bursts forward in the first half but another who had to be replaced due to injury. 6.

Broadhurst: Had one first half chance blocked but was another that couldn't influence the game as he'd have liked in the attacking third. 6.

Perry: The strong striker worked hard but again was feeding off scraps for large spells. Witton held a high line and without an option running in behind him it was a frustrating afternoon for the forward. 6.

Benbow: Thrown straight into the starting line-up after his loan move back to the War Memorial Ground but looked short of fitness. Did well to get an important 90 minutes under his belt but never troubled the Witton keeper. Stour fans know there is much more to come from him. 6.

Shearer: Created an early chance for Broadhurst and always a willing runner but still struggled as Stour's attacking threat petered out. Another more suited to a central role. 6.5.

Subs:

Green: replaced Westlake at half time and slotted in well. He too struggled to get forward but did help to make sure the Glassboys didn't concede. 6.5.

Birch: Worked hard to try and get Stour going in the right direction after his half time introduction but mainly had to battle to shut down the space as Witton went looking for a winner. 6.

Cooke: A replacement for Perry but another Stour attacker that couldn't get in contest. 6.

Unused subs: Cameron, Collingridge.
