DUDLEY Sports boss Tony Gore pulled no punches after his side's defeat against Wednesfield.

Sports lost 4-1 at Hillcrest Avenue last Saturday to leave them fifth-from-bottom of the West Midlands Premier League.

Gore quickly questioned his players' desire and commitment following the loss and demanded more ahead of Tuesday night's crunch clash at third-from-bottom Pegasus Juniors.

He said: "We have self-destructed again and gifted them their goals.

"Until the players find a desire to win games we are going to struggle. Too many seem pleased just to have a game of football.

"Unless they get some fire in the belly, a willingness to work hard and to give everything they can then we won't be winning games anytime soon.

"That desire isn't there at the moment and I've told the players that and I spoke to them for about 25 minutes after the game.

"We have a massive game on Tuesday and then some difficult fixtures after that.

"The players have shown they have the ability because they have done it at times this season. They have to rediscover that winning mentality to go with it."

Sporting will welcome Bewdley Town to Hillcrest Avenue this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Meanwhile, A charity game between Dudley Sports All-Stars side and Wolves All-Stars will take place at Hillcrest Avenue this Sunday.

The match, which will feature the likes of Jody Craddock, Seyi Olofinjana and Mel Eves, will kick-off at 2pm and is being held to raise funds in aid of Jude Ethan Marrey.

The club is trying to help raise funds to by a hoist for the disabled youngster.
