YOUNG gymnasts from a Dudley primary school are once again jumping for joy after triumphing in the Black Country Gymnastics Championships.

Milking Bank Primary School entered a team in the three age categories in the competition at Wolverhampton University’s Walsall Campus and took gold in all of them.

The three teams of five, each performed set floor routines and vaults in front of to secure their top place.

As well as the team awards, the Aintree Way school also celebrated outstanding individual results.

In the year one and two contest Charlie-Jai Beale took bronze with Connie Gooda winning gold overall, while Lydia Marsh claimed silver for the year three and four competition.

Megan Charlton, Mia Reynolds, Grace Stackhouse and Sammy Simpson were awarded silver medals in the year five and six category, while Ellie Ashmore returned back to school with gold. The girls qualified for the event after winning the Dudley championships earlier in the year.
