WORCESTERSHIRE were frustrated by downpours at Durham's Chester-le-Street as day two of their LV= County Championship Division One tussle was lost to the rain.

The County, who need to win for a chance of avoiding relegation, were due to resume their first innings on 223-4 with Tom Kohler-Cadmore on 46 not out.

But morning rain ruled out play before lunch and an early tea was then arranged for 3.10pm followed by an inspection.

However, due to the amount of water on the outfield, it was determined shortly before 4pm that play would be abandoned for the day without a ball being bowled.
