JOE Leach is again captaining Worcestershire Rapids in today's Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Durham Jets at the Emirates ICG.

Vice-captain Leach is at the helm as skipper Daryl Mitchell has not recovered from the rib injury suffered in the nets ahead of Friday's home win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the NatWest T20 Blast.

Paceman Matt Henry, who picked up a similar setback in the first meeting with Steelbacks at Wantage Road nine days ago, is also not under consideration to play against Jets.

Director of cricket Steve Rhodes named a 12-strong squad with Alex Hepburn added to the players who pulled off a three-wicket win against Steelbacks in the T20 to go top of the North Group.

Rapids will be looking for a similar standard of performance to the one in their last One-Day Cup outing on Tuesday when they defeated Yorkshire Vikings by seven wickets at Headingley.

Rhodes said: "It is really important to enjoy what happened at Headingley but not to get too carried away because there is a rusty gate around the corner that can come and slam straight back in your face.

"We don't want that. The most pleasing thing about Headingley was it came after we'd had a tough week and it was a good tonic going forward for the boys."

There is an inspection at Durham at 11.30am due to rain before play can commence.
