TOM Kohler-Cadmore deflected the plaudits away from himself and said "a massive team performance throughout the whole competition" was responsible for Worcestershire Rapids reaching the semi-finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup.

Kohler-Cadmore was the man of the match after smashing an explosive 62 off just 34 balls in Worcestershire's five-wicket win over Derbyshire at the 3aaa County Ground which sealed top spot in the North Group.

It followed on from his 118 against Yorkshire Vikings at New Road earlier in the group stages.

But the 22-year-old said everyone had played their part in the Rapids securing a home tie on une 17 against either the Vikings or Surrey.

Kohler-Cadmore said: "It's not about one innings, it's about over the course of the season where everyone has chipped in.

"Everyone has had their games where they've won us a game.

"Luckily for me, it was my turn at Derby where I chipped in.

"But it has been a massive team performance throughout the whole competition and we've played some really good cricket.

"Virtually all of our batters have won a game for us, which is why we are top of the league, and the bowlers have all made important contributions as well."

Kohler-Cadmore made his intentions clear from the start by smashing the first delivery he faced - from Derbyshire paceman Ben Cotton - for a massive six over long on.

His quick-fire innings gave the Rapids chase of a 218 target a momentum which they never looked like relinquishing.

Kohler-Cadmore said: "I thought the pitch was doing a bit so I thought 'if you reverse the pressure on to them, then it changes the momentum of the game.'

"With that ball, I thought he's had three slips and he is only going to bowl in one area so, if I can get down to that area, then hopefully if it is in the slot, then hopefully hit it.

"Luckily I got enough of it and it went for six."

The Rapids can now contemplate a first semi-final for 13 years.

Kohler-Cadmore said: "Hopefully, we will have it sold out which normally we do when it is a big game.

"Ideally it will be a packed crowd, a nice day and we can put on another show.

"The good thing is we just want to play all our games and win them.

"It is obviously nice playing in front of big crowds and the atmosphere at New Road that day will be awesome."
