ALEX Milton completed his first Championship century for Worcestershire seconds in the draw with Leicestershire at Rugby School.

The wicketkeeper-batsman went to three figures off 191 balls with 15 boundaries as Worcestershire totalled 459 all out in their first innings.

Milton, available for the rest of the summer after completing his commitments as skipper of Cardiff MCCU, was dismissed for 108 to the final ball before lunch.

He shared in a fifth-wicket stand of 131 with the in-form Ben Twohig (56).

Openers Tom Fell (117) and Ollie Westbury (97) shone with the bat the previous day, putting on 191 in 56 overs.

Worcestershire gained a first-innings lead of 66 and Leicestershire were left with a maximum of 49 overs to bat in their second innings.

Slow left-armer Nick Oxley picked up 3-56 from 14 overs as the hosts reached 121-4 from 35 overs before the two teams shook hands.

In Leicestershire's first innings of 393 all out, Herefordshire left-armer Jamie McIlroy claimed 5-84 from 28 overs on his debut.

Worcestershire collected 11 points — two for bowling, four for batting and five for a share of the spoils.
