HIGHWAYS chiefs have advised motorists to seek alternative routes while work takes place to fix a fault on the A456 Manor Way.

Dudley Council’s street, green care and amenity services department has published a notice warning drivers that National Grid has issued an immediate permit to repair the fault which is in close proximity to the Grange Road traffic island.

Network manager Andrew Sumner said a lane closure has been put in place and works are scheduled to be taking place until Friday August 18.

He added: “Delays are anticipated in this area whilst this traffic management is in place and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where available.”
