POLICE have released two teenagers arrested after a 17-year-old boy was killed in a road crash in Halesowen.
Two 16-year-olds were arrested on suspicion of theft after a car crashed into a tree in Coombs Road shortly after failing to stop for police.
A 17-year-old boy lost his life in the collision, which saw emergency services alerted at around 3.17am on Friday January 5.
The two injured teenagers were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham – with one reported to have suffered serious injuries.
West Midlands Police, however, have today provided an update in the case and a spokesperson for the force said: “Both 16-year-olds have now been de-arrested.
“One has been discharged from hospital, while the other remains in hospital.”
