POLICE have charged a man over a shooting where a Skorpion submachine gun was fired in Smethwick.
Mohammed Khan, aged 28, of Smethwick, is accused of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life after shots were fired on September 6 last year.
The incident happened in Melrose Place just before 4am.
A car and house were damaged and police were called to the scene, but no one was injured.
Khan was arrested on Wednesday and charged yesterday (Thursday).
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "He was remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton magistrates today (Friday)."
