ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)(a)
THE M5 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 2) [CONNECTING ROADS) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an Order on the M5 Motorway, in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, to allow pavement improvement and road marking works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to, at different times, close -
1) the link roads leading to and from the roundabout junction with the A4123 Wolverhampton Road and the A4034,
at Oldbury, known as Birchley Island, to and from the M5 Junction 2 Roundabout; and
2) any slip road leading to or from the M5 at Junction 2.
The closures will be carried out overnight, on weekdays only, between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 24 May 2021 and continue for approximately three weeks. The Order will come into force on 21 May 2021. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
