Leave the stonebuilt market house in the centre of Ross proceeding southwards from the town on the B4228 Walford Road. After leaving the town boundary from the mini roundabout adjacent to Vinetree Vets, take the next left turning on a sweeping right hand bend, as signposted to Howle Hill. Take the first turning right and ascend through the Beech trees on Howle Hill, taking the right turning at the cross roads just after the War Memorial.
