ONE of the stars of the recent series of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’ is bringing her latest comedy tour to Stourbridge.
Shappi Khorsandi, who has also appeared on Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News for You and Q.I., is back on tour with her 2017 sell out Edinburgh Festival Fringe show ‘Mistress and Misfit’.
The comedian will be travelling to 50 venues across the UK this spring including a visit to Stourbridge Town Hall on Saturday, May 5.
During the show, Shappi presents England's unsung heroine, Emma, Lady Hamilton.
For too many years she has been known as just Nelson's mistress, a bit of a harlot – ‘you get one job in a brothel and bang goes your reputation’ – but Emma moved mountains to haul herself from scullery maid to Lady Hamilton, and Shappi will raise a glass to the woman England betrayed.
Tickets for the Stourbridge date – which starts at 8am – are now available from www.boroughhalls.co.uk, or by calling the box office on 01384 812812.
