THE borough’s premiere production of Dolly Parton’s ‘9 to 5 – The Musical’ is on the hunt for male stars.
Cradley Heath Amateur Operatic Society – the oldest group of its kind in the Black Country – have put out an appeal in a bid to fill the roles when the show comes to Stourbridge Town Hall later this year.
Group stalwart J. Paul Murdock said: “Not just ‘Working 9 to 5’, but this is also your chance to ‘Shine Like the Sun’. Come on guys and show the ladies what you've got – in the way of performing talent.”
People can apply to be in the show by contacting the group online at www.chaosoperatics.co.uk, or by e-mailing chaos@chaosoperatics.co.uk or chaos1908@outlook.com.
Paul added: “The show is set at the end of the 70s, when men were men, flares were flares, and asking for a 'Kipper Tie' didn't mean milk and two sugars in the Black Country. We can promise you an enjoyable rehearsal time of teamwork and a great show week.
“There’s even a spot of being tied up by the ladies as they seek their revenge on their boss. What a way to make a hobby!”
CHAOS’ production of 9 to 5 – The Musical will be at its new venue of Stourbridge Town Hall nightly from Tuesday, November 14, to Saturday, November 18, with a matinee performance on the Saturday.
