A SPECIAL anniversary re-release of James Cameron’s classic Terminator 2: Judgement Day is being brought to the Black Country cinema screens next week.

To mark 20 years to the day from when Skynet becomes self-aware in the film – August 29, 1997 – the movie has been restored and will be beamed to Merry Hill Odeon in 3D and 4K.

Terminator 2 takes place 10 years since the events of 'Terminator'. Sarah Connor's ordeal is only just beginning as she struggles to protect her son John – the future leader of the human resistance – against the machines, from a new Terminator, sent back in time to eliminate John Connor while he's still a child.

Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film was a box office smash when it was first released in 1991, taking almost £520 million.

Tickets can now be booked to see Terminator 2 from 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 29 at Merry Hill Odeon.
