ACTRESS and writer Laura Liptrot is presenting her brand new one woman show ‘Seven Wonders’ in Stourbridge this weekend.

The local performer will provide an evening which is part historical lecture and part stand-up comedy, as she entertains at Gig Mill Church Hall on Saturday (February 17).

Laura will tell the story of the six wives of Henry VIII as you’ve never heard them before, examining their deeper emotions and what of their experiences people can still relate to today.

Throughout the play, Laura compares these women to herself and explains how they have inspired her on her journey through school, college, university and finally seeking employment in the world of performing arts.

Nestled in among her observations and confessions are some hilarious anecdotes about her family, friends and some of the other colourful characters she has met along the way.

Laura hopes to offer the audience an “original, unique and thoroughly entertaining” show which will make them think, empathise, sympathise, laugh and cry, adding: “And there’s free refreshments too!”

The show starts at the Witton Street venue at 7pm, with tickets costing £5 each. They can be bought by calling 07954 692593 or 01384 824766, or by emailing ticketsfor.7W@gmail.com.
