BIRMINGHAM Repertory Theatre’s 25th anniversary production of timeless classic children’s tale The Snowman continues to enchant young and old alike.

The seasonal show, about a little boy whose snowman miraculously comes to life, is a charming family friendly outing which cannot fail to melt the hearts of theatregoers.

Brimming with delightfully choreographed dance routines by Robert North, beautiful staging and featuring Howard Blake's original music and lyrics - the production is a faithful adaptation of the much-loved movie version of Raymond Briggs’ book.

Stylised acting, live music and exquisite colourful costumes help to bring the bittersweet story to life with nice touches of humour on a stage resembling a giant snow globe in this magical production, directed by Bill Alexander, which transports audience members to a winter wonderland - complete with dancing Santa Claus, reindeer, penguins, a ballerina snow princess and Jack Frost.

Having seen the show a few years back - it has lost absolutely none of its charm and continues to leave theatregoers walking in the air.

The Snowman is running at The Rep, Centenary Square, Birmingham, until January 26.

Tickets are priced from £15 and are available from the box office on 0121 236 4455 or online at birmingham-rep.co.uk.
