THE long-established Warley Male Choir is on the hunt for a new musical director.

Meeting each Thursday evening at Warley Woods Methodist Church, the choir hope the new MD will build on the work already started by the existing team.

That includes coaching and rehearsing with the enthusiastic mix of age and ability singers, performing traditional and modern music on the concert platform.

The successful applicant would initially work alongside the choir’s temporary MD and be supported to eventually take over full responsibility for all aspects of music.

Choir member Keri Morgan said: “Ideally the successful candidate would have experience in coaching and conducting choirs in concert performance, but the committee would consider an applicant with less experience, who wishes to work hard to gain the knowledge and skill to build on their existing talent.”
