AN OFFBEAT comedy duo will be taking to the stage in Halesowen next year.

Comedy duo Angelos Epithemiou and Barry from Watford will be tickling audience's funny bones at Comedy At The Cornbow at Cornbow Hall on Friday March 8.

Burger van owner Angelos is best known for his appearances on cult BBC2 TV show Shooting Stars alongside Bob Mortimer and Vic Reeves.

The comedy creation went on to have his own show, The Angelos Epithemiou Show.

Octogenarian Barry, aged 85, is a popular fixture on Steve Wright’s BBC Radio 2 show and has recorded a hit podcast with Angelos which has been downloaded by more than 30,000 people a week.

They will be supported in Halesowen by Canadian cult comic Tony Law, who has appeared on the likes of Have I Got News For You and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and up-and-coming Black Country musical comic Jonny Cole.

The night will be hosted by resident MC Wayne Beese.

Wayne said: "We’re delighted to be bringing Angelos and Barry to Halesowen.

"They’re a real oddball comedy duo and you never quite know what will happen when they are on stage together – but it’s guaranteed to be hilarious and a lot of fun."

He added: “We’ve had great support so far – the shows featuring Tom Stade and Milton Jones were both complete sell-outs."

Tickets are on sale now and cost £12.
