Louis Tomlinson has made a moving video in which he helps an elderly man complete items on his bucket list after the death of his wife.

The One Direction heartthrob – who lost his mother in 2016 and his 18-year-old sister this year – posted the clip of his adventures with 83-year-old Richard Green on social media.

In it, the pair fly a helicopter and drive a racing car at Brands Hatch.

Tomlinson wrote: “A month or so ago I met an amazing man called Richard. He had a few things he wanted to do so I thought I’d help him out.

“This video feels particularly relevant and powerful to me.

“Richard is a classic example of a fearless man who in light of tragedy still pushes himself to live with as much laughter and happiness as possible.”

He added: “I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I did making it.

“Loads of love, Louis.”

The video, for Tomlinson’s song Two Of Us, shows the star meeting Mr Green at his home.

They discuss the loss of Mr Green’s wife Pat in 2016, around the same time Tomlinson’s mother died from leukaemia.

“It hit us hard,” said the singer.

As well as the helicopter and car, the pair ride a roller coaster, Tomlinson lets Mr Green give him a tattoo and then arranges for him to sing live for thousands of people at Sheffield Arena.

The pair are encouraging donations to Cancer Research, Alzheimer’s Society and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Tomlinson’s mother Johannah Deakin died from leukaemia in 2016 at the age of 43.

His 18-year-old sister Felicite died last month after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest.
