A BRONZE statue of two lions was among property worth in excess of £1,300 which was stolen in a house burglary in Hunnington.

The house in Bromsgrove Road was broken into while the owner was away between Monday, 29 July, and Monday, 12 August.

As well as the lions statue, which is worth £300, the haul included two coal effect electric fires worth a total of £400, a Panasonic 42-inch flat screen TV worth £400, a £150 horizontal surround sound system and a Panasonic DVD player worth £60.

A Canon camera was also stolen PC Paul Lettis said: “Hunnington is quite a small village and we would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity there between those dates or has been offered any of the stolen property for sale - in particular the bronze statue of two lions and the wall mounted coal effect fires which are fairly unusual items.”
