A KIND-hearted Halesowen couple raised £600 for a brain tumour charity with an evening of entertainment at the town’s cycling and athletics club.
West Midlands comic Dave Dinsdale was compere for the evening, providing his own brand of humour, and music was provided by the Unclean Audio Circus and Elvis impersonator Paul Shakespeare.
It was organised by Severine and Steve Mahony, from Hayley Green, who were inspired to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity after attending a fundraising ball in March in memory of sufferer Joseph Foote who died, aged nine.
The charity is dedicated to fighting the devastating disease through research, support, information and awareness.
Mrs Mahony said: “"I was proud to put on my organiser hat for the charity as it's such an important cause. We were privileged to be in the company of Julie Hill, survivor of a brain tumour who gave an emotional speech on the night."
