A traditionally-run Cradley business received a visit from MP Lynda Waltho and the Economic Secretary MP Ed Balls.
The two MPs wanted to see the progress being made by William Hackett and Sons who have been making chains for over 110 years.
William Hackett and sons have faced strong competition from China and India but by changing their products and markets the business has managed to keep going.
Stourbridge MP Lynda Waltho said: "I was really pleased that Ed was able to take up my invitation to visit the constituency. This is a fine example of a traditional firm working alongside its unionised workforce, successfully adapting to changes in the market place.
"William Hackett and Sons has been in production since 1892 and is now expanding into markets across the globe, maintaining the firm's efficiency and competitiveness."
