Acker Bilk band members to strike a chord in Halesowen
MUSICIANS from the late, great Acker Bilk’s jazz band will be hitting the high notes in Halesowen next week.
Trombonist Ian Bateman and brother Alan, on trumpet, will join Tony Billingham’s Europa Band for a concert on Wednesday.
The line-up will also feature ex Fortunes drummer Andy Brown for the gig at Mr Billingham’s Lapal House nursing home, Lapal Lane South.
The jazz night, from 7.30pm until 10.30pm, will include a fish and chip supper.
