MASKED men armed with metal bars raided an Oldbury store at closing time and forced staff to hand over cash.
Four robbers stormed the Dunelm store, just off Birchley island, close to junction 2 of the M5 last Friday at around 8pm.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said no-one was hurt during the robbery, which happened as staff were closing the store for the day.
She said: “The workers were left badly shaken but were otherwise unharmed.”
It is understood a customer was still in the store at the time but was not hurt.
The robbers escaped in a dark coloured car before police were called.
Police are examining CCTV footage and forensic experts were called in as part of the hunt for clues to identify the raiders.
The spokeswomen added: “Other inquiries are also under way to catch those responsible.”
The store opened as usual over the weekend.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
