A SEX pest from Oldbury who bombarded two schoolgirls with sexually explicit messages over a two month campaign of harassment has been jailed.

Father of one Asif Iqbal, aged 29, also targeted a 13-year-old girl at the fast food restaurant where he worked, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.

Sentencing Iqbal to two years two months Judge Kristina Montgomery said: "You ought to know girls of this age are not to be treated as sexualised adults and that somebody who wants nothing to do with you ought to have that choice accepted.

"You will have time to reflect on this while you are in custody.

Samantha Powis, prosecuting, said married Asif started staring at the girl customer when she arrived at KFC in Hagley Road, Quinton.

When she asked to use the toilet facilities he directed her to the staff lavatory and he then waited outside until she came out.

He then asked the girl for her phone number which she refused to give then he wrapped his arms round her waist and touched her bottom before she pushed him away.

Miss Powis said: "He spent a considerable amount of time looking at the girl before isolating her.

"She was backed into the toilet and he then grabbed her."

The schoolgirl was too embarrassed at the time to report the incident but she confided in a friend who told the mother of the victim and the police were notified.

It was then revealed Iqbal started stalking the two 15-year-old girls and he sent them sexually explicit messages and photographs after contacting them through Facebook.

Miss Powis said he continued to pester them despite the pair making it absolutely clear they wanted nothing to do with him after he managed to get their mobile phone numbers.

Analysis of Iqbal's phone later showed he had contacted the two young girls 70 times in his campaign of harassment over a two month period and on a number of occasions he appeared to know where they were.

Miss Powis added: "It was not known how he knew so much about them but they were targeted in an aggressive way."

Iqbal, a man with no previous convictions, of Vicarage Road, admitted sexual assault and two charges of stalking.

He was further made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order by the judge barring him from having any contact with people under 16 years of age.

Iqbal was also told he must register as a sex offender for the next five years.
