Dear John Spellar, Tom Watson, Adrian Bailey and James Morris,

The electorate of this country has given a decisive answer to the question which was posed to it, and by a margin of almost 1.4 million votes decided that it is no longer in the best interests of the UK to remain a member of the European Union.

On behalf of the UKIP Sandwell members residing in the four Parliamentary constituencies which constitute Sandwell MBC, I would like to request the following assurance from the four MPs which were duly elected to represent them on May 5th 2015.

“No member of Parliament representing any part of Sandwell MBC will participate in or facilitate any attempt to undermine, delay or block the UK’s orderly exit from the European Union.

Sandwell MPs understand that so doing would clearly represent a subversion of a very clear desire to leave the EU, as indicated at the ballot box on June 23 2016 by more than two thirds of voters in this borough”.

Please further consent to any responses / assurances being made public, and also understand that should such not be forthcoming by the time of the next Parliamentary recess, on July 21, 2016.

It will be assumed that the above request has been ignored, and the fact that it has been will be placed into the public domain.

We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Kind regards.

Pete Durnell

(UKIP Sandwell chairman, in association with UKIP Sandwell branch Committee members)
