A ROMSLEY councillor has quit as Bromsgrove District Council leader following a health scare.

Cllr Margaret Sherrey, who will continue to represent Belbroughton and Romsley, has been leader since May 2014.

Deputy leader Cllr Kit Taylor said: “It’s a massive loss. Margaret was an incredibly hard working, highly principled leader of the council.”
