ROMSLEY residents are enjoying an outdoor gym after Romsley Parish Council secured £8,000 funding from supermarket giant Tesco.
The parish council applied to the Tesco Bags of Help scheme and reached the final three to receive a grant to install an outdoor gym on the playing fields.
A public vote was held in Tesco stores earlier this year, and as a result the parish council were awarded a grant of £8,000 to install a small gym on the playing fields at St Kenelms road.
The Gym has now been installed and is being enjoyed by the Romsley community.
Councillor Dave Powell said: "It is fantastic that we have been able to secure this funding from Tesco to add this facility to the park.
"It has already been a great success and we are sure that it will contribute greatly to the health and wellbeing of our residents."
