"There was a great deal of support last year and we know how important local support is to our show."

Residents are being urged to channel their inner Masterchef and enter a cake into the show, categories include Victoria sponges and scones.

"So please try the new recipes, polish up your craft skills, sow your seeds and we look forward to seeing the results and sharing in your success on September 3."

He added: "Everyone is welcome to come and have a look, so please join us for a cuppa, cake and chat. "

"There will be bargains at the 3.30pm auction when we hope exhibitors will donate the fruits of their labours to be auctioned in support of next year’s show."
