A TASTE of life at Cradley Heath’s Ormiston Forge Academy is being offered to prospective pupils at its annual Open Events next week.
Children who are due to start secondary school in September 2017 and their parents are invited to visit next Thursday (September 22) from 6pm until 8.30pm and from 9am until noon on Saturday September 24.
They will be able to try out science experiments, view paintings, eat food in the foreign language cafe cooked by food technology pupils, interact with the geography and history departments, scrutinise pupil books and meet principal Andrew Burns.
Sandwell Sea Cadets, based at the school, and The Access Project, which helps pupils improve their grades, will also be in attendance.
Mr Burns said: "2016 has been a very good year so far, we achieved another set of excellent A-level results in the summer as well as a first-class set of GCSE results - our fourth increase in four years.”
