THE Shenstone Club in Halesowen is holding a Tommy Mundon Remembered Evening next week.

On Thursday, November 24, the comedy legend will be honoured at the Kent Road club with an evening of entertainment with funds being raised for Mary Stevens Hospice.

The beloved comic died in 2014 following a battle against Parkinson's disease after entertaining the Black Country for decades through his tall tales and countless jokes.

Christine Skett, from the club, said: "We are having a Tommy Mundon Remembered Evening with entertainment provided by a number of local artists.

"Author Angela Daniels will be there to sign copies of her book, The Tommy Mundon Story, and she will give a little talk about it."

She added: "Proceeds of the book go to Mary Stevens Hospice and we shall also be raising funds for the hospice on the night."

Tickets cost £5 and phone 0121 422 5157 for more information.
